Visiting Yosemite
Yosemite National Park is a great place to hike. But, beware of some hiking books that label hikes. A Park Ranger called the Vernal Trail “strenuous” (just the hike to the footbridge – not even the more difficult hike to the falls itself) – but a hiking book called that trail “Easy.”
After a particularly heavy winter snow season, Yosemite National Park gave visitors a great show this May as seasonal waterfalls came rushing down the jagged cliffs.

If you’re not prepared, you might get wet! For people used to tamer parks where paths keep visitors back from any hazards, Yosemite visitors need to watch where they walk as the water rushes down from picturesque falls like Bridal Veil, Lower Yosemite, and other waterfalls.
